Friday, August 26th, 2016
Peter Lembcke has been named the new educational program director at the John F. Green Spartanburg Science Center.
Lembcke will take over the program duties of John "Mr. Green", executive director-emeritus, who retired recently after 36 years at the Science Center.
Green's job was divided into two new positions by the Science Center board of trustees. Lembcke will fill one of the positions.
The other was filled by Bob Pettis, who was named director of the Science Center earlier this year. Pettis will continue to handle Science Center administration.
Lembcke, former director of the University of South Carolina Upstate Watershed Ecology Center, will teach the education programs.
