The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina Announces 2019 Food for Thought Panelists

The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina (BIASC) announces the 2019 panelists for its inaugural Food for Thought fundraising event. This event is the BIASC’s primary fundraising event in the Midlands, which will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia, S.C.
Food for Thought will include a panel of professionals to speak on the importance of concussion prevention, awareness, and rehabilitation. The 2019 panel consists of: John Kasik, Associate Athletic Director and Director of Sports Medicine at University of South Carolina Athletics; Dr. George Wham EdD, ATC/SCAT, Head Athletic Trainer at Pelion High School; Dr. Ashley Bryant Harbin, PhD and CBIS at Lake Psychology Services; and traumatic brain injury survivor Dr. Thomas Seastrunk.
BIASC is proud to announce the addition of Representative Chip Huggins of Lexington and Representative Peter McCoy of Charleston to the event's Host Committee. Other members include: Mayor Stephen K. Benjamin of Columbia, Dr. Ashley Harbin, PhD, CBIS at Lake Psychology Services, Larry Lucas with Larry Lucas Agency State Farm Insurance, and Dr. Thomas Seastrunk. South Carolina Lt. Governor Pamela Evette will also be attending this event as a special guest.
